Wallington Plaza Apartment Homes

I moved in to these apartments recently and upon move in was incredibly pleased to find how clean and fresh the unit was. The paintwas new, carpets shampooed, everything cleaned down and sanatized. I like to do my own wipe down upon move in but it was not necessary here. They are also incredibly friendly and Cindy in the office was amazing and helpful from day one. They are also wonderfully affordable even with pool and laundry on site. The complex is clean from trash and quiet and they've… worked with my schedule when it comes to any maintenance. I moved out August 2023 due to small roaches & other reasons. I accidentally overpaid on my last month for utilities, so in short they owed me 60 bucks. [on the online platform it showed 70 dollars, paid that, got their actual bill, showed me 10 dollars, ergo -60.] I called once in like September & they said "oof, yeah, you should get a check in the mail. <3" Buuutttttt, yeah, it's been like almost 6 months and nothing. I know I'm not gonna get that money, but I figure you guys should know. <3

I've rented here for a while and here's a few things I've noticed. 1) Each month were given a calendar sheet. It shows important dates for the apartment complex as well as holidays and the like, even provides a monthly recipe, its nice. However it says on the calendars they do pest control weekly, specifically every Wednesday. **Except they don't**. They havent sprayed since October at least in my building. 2) Theres roaches! Theres small roaches and from what I hear 3 buildings are infested. I… was lucky to have been told by a neighbor when I first moved in she even offered me some pesticide she used. 3) Maintenance/office staff leaves much to be desired. Theyre very nice however that's about it this place feels almost *too* laid back. For example we were given paper notice of maintenance turning on the AC for April 4th, and well it's April 12th at the time of writing this and nothing has been turned on. Small roaches. The landlady thinks it's MY responsibility to take care of them. Also their walls are not sound deafening. And maintenance sucks because roaches.
