Compass at Windmill Lakes

We have lived here for 6 years, and it is truly a beautiful property, very clean, the staff is very polite and very friendly. The maintenance men, Mr. Alfonso and Victor, are very special, pleasant and respectful, I really feel very good here. highly recommended

Other than the residents, I have no complaints. My apartment is spacious, was well cleaned and contains all the TRUE necessities in life, washer\dryer, dishwasher, microwave. Bonus points for the mirrored closet doors, garden tub, and built-in desk. Now this place doesn't have the "fancy" yet worthless upgrades like stainless steel appliances (they do the same thing as the regular white ones, people) and faux granite countertops, so if you're into that sort of thing, this isn't the place for you… . The area literally has everything you need, and Pearland is 10 minutes away if it doesn't. You WILL hear a lot of planes being so close to Hobby airport, but you'll get used to them after a while. The pool is a little small, but nicely maintained and landscaped, plus it's open 24 hrs, so adults can use it well after the kids are asleep. The gym is HUGE and has all the equipment you need - cancel your membership if you decide to move here. There isn't a true clubhouse like some complexes have, with pool tables, cappuccino machines, etc., but that's not a deal breaker for most people. There's the option to pay rent online, with no extra surcharges, with automatic withdrawals every month, which is super convenient. You get a standard, basic washer\dryer in each unit which is also all most people need.

In summary, this isn't a bad place to live. People are friendly, I've never felt unsafe, and my apartment is awesome. I feel like major changes are on the way and I'm excited to be here as they occur! Read More

The apartments are your basic apartment with no upgrades to be noted. The management is polite and respectful. The problem with these apartments is theft. Some of the other nearby apartment have put in camera systems to help deter would be thieves but currently nothing like this as been done at the Windwater. If you own a truck be sure to lock your tailgate or it will be stolen. I know of 5 stolen in the last couple of months.
