Nice Apartment Living in Northwest Houston

One of the standout features for me was the location, Silver Star is conveniently situated near major shopping centers, restaurants, and public transportation, easy access to 610/ 290 and downtown, yet it's in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood that offers a true sense of relaxation. Whether I was commuting to work or enjoying a weekend out, everything I needed was just a short drive away. The property is well maintained has been in the community for over 30 years. It is gated and there are… security cameras. Recent updates to the property have really improved the appearance and comfort.
The management team is outstanding—always professional, approachable, and quick to respond to any questions or maintenance requests. It's clear that they truly care about the residents' comfort and satisfaction. The amenities are nice with a fitness center, a sparkling pool, and a cozy clubhouse for residents to enjoy.

Recommended

I have lived in these apartments for eight years now, and there is a reason for that. The property is pretty quiet day and night, the residents are friendly, and it is located in an area that is close to the Galleria, Downtown Houston, Memorial, and the Heights. The property manager does a great job at maintaining the property - I constantly see workers maintaining the landscape, picking up trash, repairing and upgrading the units. Whenever I have a concern, the property manager and workers are… responsive and works with me to resolve issues. If there are some downsides, it would be that sound proofing is minimal to nonexistent on the second floor, so you can hear everything that goes on upstairs (I believe second floor units should have carpet for that very reason). Invest in a white noise machine. It helps so much! Traffic in the neighborhood, especially on Mangum, can get irksome in the evenings but flows pretty well throughout the day. There are very few parking spots for visitors, so be aware of that and plan accordingly (parking for residents is fine - never had an issue finding a spot). Overall, I have been pretty happy staying here. It was on a whim that I dropped by to sign the lease, and one of the reasons why was that the property manager was been (and has continued to be) a real jewel.

A nice neighborhood in an apartment complex

I have lived here a long time and I enjoy the quiet homey feeling of the complex. It is well maintained and clean. There are a lot of working families with children living here because it is so family friendly and quiet at night. The maintenance staff is on top of the job keeping it up and the manager is always responsive and friendly. This is a great place to call home.
