How come its 4+ rated? One Year at Lakeside121 – Disappointing and Stressful -
Poor maintenance, zero urgency, unsafe conditions, and a leasing office that disappears when it matters. I wouldn’t recommend Lakeside121 to anyone.
Don’t be fooled by the one-month free move-in deal. Once you sign, you’re locked into a 12-month lease with no way out unless you pay the remaining months.—and leasing agent never mention this upfront.
Maintenance is slow and unresponsive. It took over five months to resolve basic issues. For most of my stay, I dealt with a faulty stove, broken… dishwasher, and leaks. Water entered my unit twice, and a restroom roof leak was never fixed despite repeated complaints.
Emergency support? Non-existent. During repeated fire alarm malfunctions in Building 3, the emergency number went unanswered—we had to call 911 ourselves. The leasing office never responded after-hours.
I also had to deal with pests—roaches at first, then multiple lizards darting inside every time I opened the door. The response? "Keep your windows and doors shut." That’s not a solution.Review from Apartments.com
