Wasted my time, like they did with others
Management sent me on a wild goose chase tor weeks, leading me on right up until the day before my move out from the place I was living in. At the last moment, they decided that they weren’t willing to rent to me at the rate they had advertised and wanted to basically go back on the rent special they’d advertised. When I said I couldn’t do that, the senior manager denied my application at the last minute. Complete with a letter that listed a FAKE phone number at the bottom — meaning I couldn’t... even get her on the phone to get an answer about why they did that to me. She listed some phony reason for the denial on my application, and I say phony because she was aware of the information and had literally said she could “override the system” and get around it since I had the income and no criminal record.
After the last-minute denial, I had to scramble to get an Airbnb and a new apartment in a matter of days, which obviously cost more money on top of extreme stress. These people lack integrity and have zero problem playing with people’s lives. I do suspect that there is a racial component as well, but that’s all I’ll say about that.
