Old, poor cooling, insects aplenty. There is a reason this property is so inexpensive. They could not charge more if they tried. Please trust my review. Lived there for over a year and couldn't wait for lease to expire.

I've lived here for almost a year now. I love it! It's quiet but close to everything. It's only five minutes from HEB and Wal-Mart. You're just a hop skip and a jump away from Hewitt Drive, but not so close that it's busy. Maintenance is great. You submit a request and they are very timely in coming and fixing it. Located right off the main strip in Hewitt. This apartment is located next to a school and pocket park.
While being right down the street from the Walmart HEB and all the fast food and restaurants I like that it is a bit off the strip as well. Being close to a park and near the school has a more secluded feel to it as well.
The management does an excellent job keeping the place up as well as being quick w needed repairs such as A/C issues. The maintenance here is great as well and the team... here are always friendly and polite to me.
The rent is a bit higher than some but this is in the midway school district and the property values are higher. I enjoy the layout here. We have a kitchen off to a side and two rooms on an end. It is also a quiet place. I have to sleep during the day and that pretty easy as it is quiet most of the day at least near our unit.

Living here for a year now and honestly I rather not leave. The apartments (at least our set-up) feels and looks like a house inside. We have a hall and separated rooms. To me it is set up like a house.

The manager here is a sweetheart. She works with you to accommodate you the best she can. She is reasonable, fair but firm. Naturally if one does not follow rules or pay rent, she has to evict.

Rental cost is a little high for how old and small the apartments are but to me it is worth it. I... rather live in an older place with a great manager who treats you like a person over being a tenant then live in a newer, lower rent place and the manager just treats you as a tenant.

As it comes to maintenance, they get to you as soon as possible. They tend to the more pressing issues before the lesser issues which is okay. If it was my A/C over someone needing a towel rack screwed back in, I would definitely appreciate my A/C being fixed first. Or vice versa, I would want them to take care of the other’s broken down fridge over fixing my cabinet door. I hope you all see what I am getting at.

Anyway, with all this said, I recommend this place. No it is not fancy smancy, it is homely and that is what I care about.

There is a good size pool with a six ft end and they keep it up. There is a fenced in dog lot so you can let your dog exercise and relieve themselves. There are plenty of trash cubicles. You can also send your mail out here. Most of all it is decently quiet.

Oh and one more thing, sometimes there is trash around at the trash dumps and the manager does her best to keep this place presentable and representable. It is not managements place to clean up after the tenants, it is the tenants place! So if you come to look at the place, and it is messed up against your taste, don’t blame it on the manager, blame it on the careless, reckless tenants who don’t know or care how they treat property.
