Bentwood Apartments

Horrible. If I had been able to go back, I would have never moved in. There is no management on site which means getting someone to fix anything is like trying to get your ex to pay extra alimony for the fun of it. When we moved in, everything was filthy. I mean sawdust and dirt everywhere. Walls and cabinets had not been painted since prior resident. The tubs and toilets were absolutely disgusting. No working stove and dishwasher upon moving in. I got the stove fixed FOUR months later after... pleading and begging. I still have a non functioning dishwasher a year later. If you have more than one car, expect to have to park across the street 50% of the time. Garbage bins outside stay overflowing with garbage on and around grounds. Recent criminal activity around this area? A son killed his dad and grandma a block away. A 19 year girl was shot and killed across the street in her car. Teens boys stole car and ran over and killed police officer down the street, a 10 min walk away. Hit and run of elderly woman who died right outside apartments. 14 year old boy shot in face and killed in car. etc etc etc... all in the last 6 months in this area of 4100 south and 1300 west? All of these stories can be verified on KSL. $1300 for this crap? Seriously? I mean, with the crime alone you should expect to pay less. Why would anyone want to live here at this point? Location is great, located near schools and parks, along with freeway entrances. Floorplans are very spacious and there are plenty of extra room for storage. The grounds are well kept, and the buildings are maintained well. Though they aren't the best apartments we have ever lived in, they are excellent for the price. Maintenance is full of several friendly excellent people.
