Nalbert Apartments

The price and safe location is great and very pet friendly. The property manager/landlord is a very nice guy. It is an okay place, but I am very excited to move out.

Simply put, building is a bit dated and needs some work and a deep clean. I think a lot of my issues with the Nalbert Apartments would be solved if there were a few renovations and extensive cleaning.

The main reason I am writing this review is because the building has a bit of a bug problem! EW! EW! EW!

Also, no matter how... much I clear my floors, they're always sticky. The hallways feel kind of dingy.

We moved in from out of state without having seen the property and I tell you, I wish we had! The grounds look depressing, smell like dog poop and the hallways are filthy. The water is randomly shut off without notice for plumbing repairs and the walls are paper thin. The landlord takes days to respond to maintenance requests. IDK when the pictures were taken, but it couldn't be in the last 5 years. Can't wait for our lease to end!!

I wanted somewhere that was close to fun stuff to do in Arlington/DC, but still quiet in the evenings. This area is a great location if you're looking for that. It's a short walk to Courthouse/Clarendon, a 5 min drive to Georgetown, and about a 15 min walk to the metro. There are great food options nearby -- it's a fairly chill area. I always went on a walk to the Iwo Jima park in the mornings.

While the property itself is on the older side... , it's super spacious and very well maintained. I also had a great experience with Patrick as a landlord. He's very responsive, and repair requests were always dealt with on the same day or the day following. Also, most of the street is free parking which was huge for me.

Definitely rent here if you're looking for a quiet location but still want to be close enough to some hustle/bustle spots. Read More
