Acadia by SDK

Acadia used to be much nicer; however, over the years, the quality has gone down while the price has gone significantly up. In just a few years, they have raised my rent by over $500. It's clear why this is; the complex has changed management companies twice in that same time. While many people blame the front office or maintenance, most of these people are actually genuinely very nice and want to help as best as they can, but are limited by "corporate policies". It's clear that the real reason... this place has gone down the tubes is that private equity has taken over, looking to extract as much value as possible while offering as little quality or service as possible. Unit toured was not the unit given to me in the lease but they took advantage of timing and the last second swap to force me into the lease. Building has black mold, regular leaks in ceiling and appliances that only ever seem to receive temporary fixes from the maintenance team.

The maintenance team ignored notes on requests for an appointment for a renter to be present to let themselves into units for repairs (if they even did the repairs), and I suspect they abused my dog and left the unit... front door unlocked and balcony door open on a ground level apartment.

Look elsewhere if you want a quality, safe, apartment living experience in the Ashburn area. Read More

For some reason you can only have air conditioning or heat available, so be prepared for some uncomfortable nights during the fall and spring when temperatures are less predictable. I also had a broken A/C request ignored for over a month. I wouldn't recommend this property.

I wouldn’t recommend living here and can’t wait for my lease to be up to move. I thought moving into a luxury apartment complex and paying a little more money than other places would give me peace of mind, I was so wrong! We can’t control our own AC/Heat, before the switches them over our apartments were 80 degrees or more for about 2 weeks straight. Maintenance request go unanswered and ignored. I have had a few in currently for over a month. My washer and dryer unit is so loud and makes the... whole floor shake when it is spinning, they won’t replace it. People leave trash all through the hallways, the walls/floors are thin and you hear everything going on in your neighbors house. Read More

Tickets never get completed. Top floor in all the units AC is awful. The appliances once they go down its been a month. April 1st my dryer started smoking. All my tickets submitted have been closed without completion of the work. Ive lived here since 2016 and it has changed hands multiple times and its getting worse. This is my last year here. Don't believe me come into the community and ask the residents yourself. One office person was down the hall from me she moved out of the building to... something better because she could. 5 potholes on my block 12 lights are out on my street Milestone Square come see for yourself the gate is open 24/7.
