Ghetto but Nice View
Here's some positives. Decent amount of space for the price and a decent sized balcony with a nice view, whether of the hague or of the city view. Probably since this building is from the 1960s, the apartments were actually made to be a humane size compared to newer apartments in the area that up-charge for everything. All amenities are included! Relatively quiet and most of the people here are nice. The office people are too, but they don't actually run the show... the actual owners/company... are somewhere in NY or something...or so I have heard. Also the maintenance team are very nice and great but they can't solve the fact this building has some major issues.
Negatives. Elevators are small and cramped and usually are out of service. And because this is a pet friendly building, some dogs don't make it to the first floor. There's only one laundry floor, and it's on the 2nd. Usually is dirty by the end of the day and a lot the machines break. I find the mornings and weekends not as bad. There two sets of stairs, one on each side of the building; warning they are super steep and the steps themselves are small.
I don't care for the skylounge because realistically I never use it since I go to an outside gym. The gym is tiny, not bad if you just looking to do something simple but pathetic for place that charges so much. I never used the pool but I hear it leaks a lot.
Pipes burst a lot here. In November of '25, half of the building was condemned for flooding and water damage. In December '25 there was flooding on my floor, but never saw an email about that.
Speaking of flooding, the parking lot in the summer floods a lot. So avoid parking your car on the side closes to the water unless you hate that car.
AC breaks down quiet a bit as well. And I used a stick seal roll to keep the outside wind and noise from leaking into my apartment.
The apartments themselves are the usually ugly, grayed-out style that any idiot could renovate. Gray laminate floors, painted over switches, and doors. Crooked cabinets (or in my case, didn't get shelves in my cabinets till a year and half). Plastic bathtub and tiles, a toilet too close to the sink, no ventilation (be warned stinky poopers). My kitchen doesn't even have backsplash for the 2.5k a month price tag. The large space and large windows are a plus and each room getting it's own AC is a plus. Personally I hate electric stoves, so I love that we have gas burners.
Anywho I'm out characters to type
