Located approximately 5 miles from the Nisqually entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park, the cabin is accessible by fully maintained roads year-round. While there is no public transit nearby, the area offers some of the most scenic drives, especially during summer when Skate Creek Rd connects Ashford and Packwood. A car is necessary for access, with four-wheel drive recommended in winter. Tire chains are available for rent at local stores during winter.
The cabin is pet-friendly, but pets should not be allowed on furniture or linens, and should not be left unattended. Quiet hours are enforced between 10pm and 8am, and there is a strict no-smoking or vaping policy on the property, including outdoor areas.
