Breed Restrictions Due to insurance carrier requirements, the following breeds (and mixes thereof) are not permitted: Pit Bull/American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Presa Canario, Chow Chow, Akita, Wolf hybrids, and any breed identified as high-risk by our insurance carrier.

This list may be updated to reflect changes in carrier requirements.
An applicant with a dog of a restricted breed may request an individualized exception by providing:
• A letter from a veterinarian or trainer attesting to temperament
• Proof of no bite history or aggression incidents
• A recent (within 90 days) Canine Good Citizen certification or equivalent Approval of any exception is at the owner’s/manager’s discretion and is not guaranteed.
