DO NOT LIVE HERE — Extremely Unprofessional Management & Lease Practices
My roommates and I toured this property in May 2025 and signed what we believed was a nine-month lease, planning to move in on September 1st. Just a couple of weeks before our scheduled move-in, I called to confirm details and was told the office believed we were moving in at the end of the month instead. This was never what we discussed.
Because of their mistake, they scrambled to place us and moved us into a completely different building than the one we toured and requested. While they claim... room placement is not guaranteed, this was an entirely different location and layout than what we were shown. We chose to move forward anyway to avoid being left without housing.
Upon move-in, the unit was unacceptable:
• Carpets were visibly dirty, ripped in places, and had exposed nails.
• Paint was splattered in areas it shouldn’t have been (a clear “landlord special” job).
• Appliances were not cleaned. The dishwasher filter was filled with pink sludge and debris.
• We later shampooed the carpets ourselves, the water was nearly black, despite none of us wearing shoes indoors, yet they still charge a cleaning fee.
One roommate moved out mid-lease without securing a sublessor. When the remaining two of us asked management what steps we could take or what options were available, we were given little to no guidance. We were spoken to dismissively by certain staff members and ultimately forced to cover nearly $1,000 each out of pocket. It took two months and me bringing my father into the office before we were finally clearly told what our options were. The difference in how we were treated when I walked in alone versus when I brought a grown man was noticeable and disappointing.
The most concerning issue: we later discovered that the lease we signed was for 12 months, not nine. Multiple staff members, including Briah and Collen, were present during conversations where we clearly discussed a nine-month lease. All of us signed paperwork trusting that what we had discussed was accurately reflected. It was not. Whether this was negligence or intentional, it reflects extremely poor business practice.
This property relies heavily on the appeal of its tour units, but the lived experience does not match what is presented. If you are a student or parent considering this property, please read your lease carefully and document everything. Do not rely on verbal assurances.
I strongly regret choosing to live here and would not recommend this complex to anyone.
