Lakeside Apartments

The apartments are old and in pretty bad shape. If there is an issue the maintenance workers will do their best to fix it with what little resources they have but if there is an issue that requires a specialist the management will go with the cheapest "vendor" who will not fix the issue, still get paid and pass the buck to the next guy. Our dryer vent has been clogged for over a year, deep in the vent and they have sent multiple contractors out to fix it who just come in, do nothing but look... at my dryer which I bought to put in here and have had a repair person verify works, then leave and say they did the job. When I brought this to the attention of management I get told it costs them money every time someone comes out and then the manager complains about it being in the afternoon so she is tired and also her computer is unresponsive. The last time I went in, over a month ago she told me that she would get back to me in the morning because it was 2 pm and she was tired and that we would "come up with a game plan". I haven't heard anything back since and I still have to go somewhere else to do my laundry despite paying rent in an apartment I picked because it was advertised as having washer/dryer hookup. I have seen that in the last month they are now providing washer and dryers to units they want to rent out so I know they know it's an issue and have the resources to fix it, we just aren't a priority because we have already signed the lease. Very unorganized when it comes to maintenance request. Requested maintenance months ago and and have tried scheduling a time, but they don't show or don't return my calls. Bathroom was in bad condition upon move-in and have been trying to get it fixed.

Great location, beautiful lake. The sounds of ducks is enjoyable and gives the premium feel having a apartment on a lake. Nice neighbors and the option to have bigger dogs is awesome.

Lakeside Apartments is a cute little, recently renovated community- but now offers no amenities due to them turning the community gathering place, the rec-room, and their weight room into 2 more revenue earning dwellings. The only draw to live here now is a very small pool (but bring your own chair, they dont provide any.) The neighbors try to keep the bad element out, but due to its location right off Clearwater Ave, there are many transient and unsavory people passing through.

Maintenance never bothers to show up. The entire time weve been here, its like pulling teeth to get them in our apartment just to check something out and tell us that he will be back with whatever we need. Leaves us hanging like we have all day to spare and sometimes doesnt get back to us for weeks, even months, if ever. I wish i wouldve known this before we moved in and had to live in a dangerous environment. Upkeep doesnt seem like a priority especially with electrical & plumbing.
