Cougar Ridge Apartments

After the 8th incident of sewage backup into the toilet and tub/shower, the sewage flooded the living room and bathroom. It nearly reached the front door. They did a poor job of cleaning and did not move furniture to clean. There is now mold in the floor heater and behind some shelves. They refuse to move us to a new unit or release us from the lease, which leads me to believe they do not care about our health.

I'll start with the good, the WIFI was excellent, parking was pretty good, and the front desk people were easy to work with and friendly. I wanted to get out of my lease early and although they didn't have to, they helped find a replacement. The complex itself is quiet, safe, and in a decent location.

The Amazon hub was actually pretty great, it makes getting packages simple and safe.

For the bad, the washing/drying was one of my biggest gripes. Units DO NOT HAVE washers and dryers, those... are in a separate building, and the way you pay was very clunky and unintuitive.

Not every unit has a dish washer, I think they're in the process of adding more but if you want one make sure you specifically request one! And if possible see your unit first. I was under the impression mine had a dish washer but because I couldn't see the unit first, I kinda got scammed out of one.

IMPORTANT NOTE: they advertise as if energy/internet is included in rent but it is not!!! You have to set it up and pay yourself and it can get pretty expensive! Two people will easily add 100+ dollars a month, especially if you use the AC or game a lot.

Hello. I was a previous tenant in 2020-2021.
First off to start they look nothing like the apartments in the pictures. They are a dump. Also they took all of my security deposit because of PREVIOUS damages that I had record of.
Not to mention the management is so awful and EXTREMELY disrespectful.
They suck you for all your money and the place is a complete dump. The previous tenant had urine all over the floor and I asked for my carpets to get cleaned and a month after I had moved in they... offered to clean my carpets AND ARE CHARGING ME. Read More

When I moved in here I was under full impression I would love it! This place has the best resouces for personal health and it's close to the first stop on the bus so I always had a place to sit. Then as I continued to live here their true colors showed. The staff are unprofessional, rude, lack commmunication and it gives me genueine social anxiety every time I have to talk to them.
I recently had a member on the team there tell me that once I sign my lease break I wouldn't receive my deposit,... then later a manager told me i would. I call back to confirm what is going on and YET AGAIN I was sassed at. At one point in time I was compliaing about the wifi they provided through their lease. I was told that complaining to them about this was like complaining to them about a problem I have at walmart. They also have other staff members that enjoy hitting on women working out, get contact information and then deliberately treat them bad afterwards. I have nothing positive to say about this place. The water is yellow. My hair has changed color. It reeks of old man breath.
