Northwynd Condos

As far as Vancouver goes, this is a hard place to beat. Within a half mile, you've got the waterfront of the Columbia river, Fred Meyer's (Grand Central), and two waterfront restaurants. Extend that to a mile, and you're in downtown Vancouver. Barring traffic, you're 12 minutes from Downtown Portland. The Condos themselves are perfectly acceptable, nothing fancy. But the HOA fees that your owner pays gets you access to a pool, hot tub, and workout space. My complaints are limited to the number... of available parking spaces-not many, the pool and hot tub being out of commission too often, and the noise of the airplanes from PDX, which can be deafening at times. Another thing I would not: if you have more than one large vehicle, you may have a hard time parking in what appears to be designed as a compact-friendly community. Overall, though, it's a choice location and value.
