Great neighborhood, HORRIBLE management
I've been waiting a year to write this, out of fear of retribution. Location and neighborhood are great, units are hit or miss, and the property manager is terrible!
We moved in last fall and our unit was DISGUSTING. Mud caked on the floor -actual mud! Cobwebs and spiders everywhere, stains on the walls and appliances, and it WREAKED of smoke and cat pee. We will take partial blame - the unit we toured was not the one we moved into because of miscommunication. We were in a rush to move so we... trusted the new unit would be just as nice... not at all!
So beside the fact our apt was gross, the unit and property managers were impossible to get ahold of. We called the main office several times and they never responded. When we finally got in contact with someone, they scoffed at us and acted like we were being unreasonable and pretentious.
They reluctantly took care of some things, but refused to replace the carpet - which smelled the most. GROSS! So we rented a rug doctor, and spent hours cleaning the place because they were not getting to it quick enough (we're talking weeks). We brought our bills and hours for the work to the office and said we deserved to be reimbursed in accordance to their lease. Their charge to clean the apt was $17/hr. So we asked the same amount... and again, they refused. They only gave us $10 an hour. Jipped.
Lastly, when we were looking to move out, they started showing our apartment... but gave us NINE HOUR WINDOWS of time that they could be showing! Are you joking? So when am I supposed to shower? Or change? Or go about my day without fear that someone's going to walk into my place at any given moment. Ridiculous...
So glad to be out of that dump. Only good people to deal with were Mark and Dave.
