Lakeside Estates Apartments

This place had me ready to move in the second I saw it. The apartments are up-to-date and clean looking, appliances work well (except a crappy dishwasher), and the view of the lake is beautiful. I feel safe in the area and while there's a little noise from some neighbor kids now and then it's mostly quiet.
Unfortunately, I've noticed several issues with flying insects. I keep getting the biggest flies in my apartment to where I'm spraying up to 10 of them in one day. The windows and doors are… closed, dishes are clean, garbage either taken out or totally tied up.. So I don't know how they're getting in or why they're hanging around. Also had a bout with a large amount of fruit flies once but that one was probably my fault. I'm not sure if it's because the apartments are near the water or a large wooded area but it's getting really ridiculous. And the landlord was basically non-responsive to the problem.
My other issue that I noticed later is that I could use more storage space that isn't my garage. The closet is super tiny and there actually isn't a pole for hanging clothes up on, only a few shelves to sit things on. Nowhere to hang clothes in the house, really.
Overall, the place is gorgeous. But there are a few quirks and I'm not totally sold on the responsiveness of management if I needed something. I'm torn between a 3 and a 4 because the place is honestly well kept. But these stupid mega flies and the fact that no one helped me when I asked kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Read More
