I sent a tour request and didn't hear from them for 4 days, so I called. A woman answered the phone with "hello" and that was it. So already I can't be sure if I had the right number, poor phone manners!!! I started to say "Hi, I'm-" and they hung up on me. I tried calling them back with a different phone, tried the 1st one again and nobody answered. After 2 rings each I got a message saying that the phone number wasn't connected to a voicemail box. They're an apartment (management) company!!!!... What a ridiculous concept! I'm going to stay FAR AWAY from them! Even days later, there has been no response, but I know now not to work with them... The office staff of Colonial Property Management are RUDE! They post 5 Day Notices on your apartment door, while I am not even sure that is legal! They claim it is to "inform" you of issues, but to see a 5 Day Notice, a Remove Belongings within 5 Days, plus still be subject to rent and utilities, is VERY STRESSFUL! My most recent 5 Day Notice on my door is because there is a new tenant downstairs, and this tenant has complained that the "apartment above him" is too noisy, "running laps,... jumping, stomping"... Did I mention I have two kids?... And now, after three years of no noise complaints, they say I have received six complaints, and they are trying to evict me!
Colonial will try very hard to charge you for things that need repair, even if it is a broken pipe in a wall! They will do everything they can to keep your security deposit, such as cleaning things you will never be able to clean, like a loft ceiling fan, and they will try to not only keep your security deposit, but also they will charge you extra! They are GREEDY! They are RUDE! Trust me, please, do NOT rent from them! Save yourself the head ache! Read More
