Poor management, worse living conditions.
They recently renovated, so I'm sure it's better now. However, when I lived there, the halls were barely lit, littered with garbage, elevators broke every other week (I felt very unsafe riding them), and I felt VERY misled after signing my lease. I was told everything was going to be fixed before my lease was up, but nothing was. I lived in what felt like a third world apartment building for a year and jetted out before they finished renovations. For what it's worth, my apartment was... "discounted" for construction. And by discounted I mean almost $1,000. I got to listen to construction workers shake the entire building starting at around 6am every day. Great location though, that's about it. They also have a disgusting spider infestation, which nobody would take care of for me. So I did.
