Stonewood Village

I moved into this property in 2021, and the difference between then and now is honestly disappointing. When I first moved in, management was great, communication was consistent, and the maintenance team was amazing. I genuinely enjoyed living here.

Since the property was taken over by a new company, the quality of management and overall upkeep has declined significantly. Communication is extremely poor—often there is no communication at all—and it feels like residents have to repeatedly follow… up just to get basic concerns addressed.

The upkeep of the property has also gone downhill. The ventilation in the units is poor, which causes walls to become dark and cooking odors to linger for days. I have also experienced mold developing in corners of the unit. When these concerns were brought to management's attention, instead of receiving a clear solution, I felt like I was given the runaround.

Another frustrating issue is the rent. Some long-term tenants who have been here for years are paying significantly more, while the property is advertising other units for hundreds of dollars less. And despite how they are marketed, not every unit has been remodeled. Even some of the "remodeled" units appear to have received what I would consider basic cosmetic or "landlord special" updates rather than substantial renovations.

It is disappointing because this used to be a great place to live. At this point, it feels like the priority is collecting rent rather than maintaining the property, communicating with residents, and making sure tenants feel valued. I have been here since 2021, so I have personally seen the difference in how this property was managed before compared with how it is being managed now.

I really hope the new ownership takes residents' concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements, because the current experience does not match what this property used to be. Read More
