Horrible Management
Homeless people living in the basement, main door to access entire buildings broken for months on end. Dirty. Don’t rent from Katz.

Located on Prospect Avenue, this building overlooks Lake Michigan and the Boat Marina. The property features beautiful one bedroom units in one of the most desired areas of Milwaukee.
Many of these units have undergone an extensive renovation which... provides a "like new" feel. The newer units offer updated vinyl flooring, new appliances, in unit laundry (most) with a dishwasher as well. We have parking options available at an additional cost, otherwise street parking is available as well. The building features a locked lobby, elevators, and coin laundry.

Very very bad experience. It was not too bad until Katz came. They are nice at first, then everything starts to fade! Do not rent their apartments, if you like your nerves!!! We had very very bad experience with them.

Lived here three and a half years until Katz Properties bought the building. They told me if I wanted to stay my rent would increase $100 if I resigned a year lease, $200 if I stayed month-to-month, or I could get out by the end of the month. In my opinion, Katz Properties only cares about profit, not its tenants.

Bon Aire apartment is decent for what it offers especially for that affordable rent range.
Lived here for more 2 years now and am very pleased with the property. The neighborhood is very safe and is conveniently located to grocery stores, restaurants very close to the Brady Street. Good schools nearby.
We have been offered brand new kitchen appliances, new flooring, newly painted walls etc. upon move-in.
This is a great place to live! The property manager Mr. John is friendly and responsive,... which I greatly appreciate. Also, the common areas, such as lobby, mailroom, laundry area are always clean, which was a must for me.Plus elevators have been upgraded and are working perfectly now.
Would definitely recommend living here!
Thanks
A happy tenant family!!

Just don't do that! I know it is cheap! Just stay in a tent but not here! Worst management ever! Out of two elevators one is down for the last 2 years, nobody responsive, After you move out they will basically keep all of your deposit no matter how clean you return! Manager has not respect to your privacy ... just don't do it!

Property Manager at Bon-Aire responded to this review
We would like to point out that this tenant left all of their furniture by our garbages. Despite being asked not to(because there are high charges for it). This former resident was also disrespectful to not just the staff onsite but our main office. ... Our elevator has in fact been broken for a year, it begins repairs(FINALLY) Monday the 5th of October. We commissioned the repairs a year ago, unfortunately Otis, a major elevator company was not able to fit us in until now, and they were the company promising the earliest timeline!
Our manager on site is great at his job, he does not, however tolerate being treated poorly. He manages over 107 units almost completely on his own and always goes to bat for his tenants. We are disappointed that someone would feel they can leave poor reviews because they were not given money back despite damage and costs they caused. The management company involved tends to give back majority of security deposits, assuming they get their unit back the same way it was given to a tenant!
