Grand Wisconsin

I’ve lived in 3 different units across 4 years, both 2 beds and 1 bed as there are manyyyy different layouts. Noise level is good, you don’t often hear your neighbors! Maintenance is always on top of it and management replies to you fast. The parking garage is horrible to get in, but that’s because it’s underground and the entrance is a single car door in the alley. It’s worth the hassle though for the added safety as I have a Hyundai (and also for those late night winter fast food runs in pj’s)... My favorite parts of the building are the club room and hot tub. The club room has foosball, ping pong, and pool with a full kitchen and living room area and is the go to spot for community events. I've been living here for the past 2 years, and I couldn't be more satisfied. So many major upsides:

1) Excellent value for money, especially when compared to the surrounding apartment complexes. I've toured multiple of them which are similarly priced (Plankinton Lofts, Boston Lofts, The Buckler, etc.), none of them offer nearly as much as GW does.
2) Fully equipped and furnished apartments (fridge + freezer, A/C unit, washer and dryer inside the units, dishwasher).
3) 24/7 gym (a large one... with lots of space and equipment!), spa with a hot tub and 2 saunas, game room, on-site one stop-shop open 9AM through 9PM for emergencies.
4) Friendly and highly responsive staff and management, monthly social events.
5) Great neighbors, all young professionals and students, I've never had an issue with a single one of them.
6) Everything within walking distance -- shops, restaurants, convenience stores, Walgreens across the street, major attractions, riverfront. Public transportation right on the corner, unless you drive and park in the garage (or across the street in the giant parking structure).
7) Gorgeous historical building, kept clean and well-maintained.

I would definitely recommend this place as the first choice in the downtown/Westown area for single occupants, couples, and groups of friends alike.

This has been a fantastic choice to move into the Grand Wisconsin Apartments-from the property manager, Sarah, and Jack, the property’s maintenance professional, you can always get the help you need when you need it (literally, they answer calls and emails, and fix issues faster than anywhere else I’ve ever lived).

The amenities are amazing: underground parking (limited spots, but we definitely love having that, with an elevator down to the basement lot), a gym with weights and kettlebells... with squat rack and cable machines (also cardio: treadmills and ellipticals), sauna and steam room with large whirlpool/hot tub, indoor dog park, and inside ‘special’ entrance to the attached minimart, and a huge social room where you can play games and watch movies-with monthly resident events (usually delicious food!) - for the price, and being right in the heart of the downtown theater district-you can’t find a better building for the price! I really enjoyed my time living at The Grand. The building is beautiful and it seems like when it was renovated into apartments it was done well/high quality. The apartments themselves are really quiet and the building has so much charm. The building manager and maintenance are on-site and very responsive. The gym is pretty big and the other amenities are nice and never crowded. There is a small garage under the building which is very convenient, but usually has a waitlist. There is a garage... across the street that offers monthly parking. The building is downtown and in a busy area but I have always felt safe in my apartment. The units are pretty big and have taller ceilings which is a perk, but also comes with some higher utility bills. Overall I definitely recommend The Grand for a charming apartment downtown! My partner and I moved into our unit in July, and we love it! The amenities are awesome (the hot tub is very nice), the neighbors are pleasant and the management is engaging and helpful. We will definitely be renewing our lease in the Summer!
