The Astor Hotel Apartments

Rooms are large and reasonably priced, and that is really their only star at the moment. I don't care what they say, they are 100% indoor cigarette smoker friendly. The 4th floor has smelled like an ashtray every single day for the last 5 YEARS. They know exactly who is smoking on those floors and which exact rooms, yet they do not care in the slightest about the fire hazard those gross cigarette smokers create. Because of this, direct, not second hand, cigarette smoke seeps up through the pipes… in the walls and will end up in your kitchen. Again, management couldn't care less, yet they will lie to you about it in order to take your money. So unless you don't mind being a non-smoker, in a "non-smoking" apartment and waking up to what smells like you just lit a cigarette yourself in your own kitchen, I would avoid this place until they fix a very simple problem they are too lazy to find a solution to.

The "amenities" are ok, when they actually allow you to use what you pay for. The gym was always 24/7 until the newest property manager, McKenna, showed up and now they lock it when they leave for the night. She calls it a weekend at 1 pm on Friday's, so good luck.

Another amenity, the rooftop patio, is great other than the fact that management decides when you can use it... When the rooftop deck was found to have too many people smoking on it, they closed it within 2 weeks due to a "fire hazard." They allow the most irresponsible members of society to smoke cigarettes inside a wooden box essentially filled with kindling and don't see the comically baffling irony in calling something else a fire hazard.

Their priorities or their minds are broken, not sure which. They don't allow pets yet allow people to absolutely destroy the carpet and walls of an apartment with cigarette smoke. Read More

We love living in our 2 bedroom corner unit. Huge floor plan with beautiful hardwood floors. The hotel is in walking distance to every major downtown street you can ask for.

This is a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment at the Astor Hotel. Located in downtown Milwaukee with gorgeous views of Lake Michigan and downtown. This is a spacious living space with a large living room, dining area and kitchen. This apartment has so much to offer along with the gorgeous view, this is a running hotel and apartment building, where there is a 24 hour service desk assistance, maintenance is always fast and courteous of your living space. This is a great location with walking distance to… downtown, restaurants and grocery stores. This apartment building offers private parking in the gated lot, or street parking. This is a beautiful building that also offers a roof top deck, which is great for the summers in Milwaukee and great to watch the fireworks!
