Nice location

This property is located conveniently right off Highway 29 , but set back far enough and surrounded by trees so you dont realize it.

The management does a great job, the landscaping looks great, in winter everything is shoveled and plowed quickly and salted.

If you need something or have a problem , they are on it quickly.

Definitely worth checking it out if you are looking for a rental on the West side of Wausau.

Nice Apartments and Management!

A solid, quiet location and nice apartments. The garage is a good selling point for me. Karen did a great job working with me. This is one of the few places that will actually reach out and talk to you, where most places automate everything. I am looking forward to living here!

Excellent

I rented at Highland Spring Villas for a year and would have stayed but wanted to move closer to family. The property is beautiful, well maintained and clean. The area is quiet, wooded and peaceful. The apartments are spacious and updated. Karen and Mark, the property managers are kind, responsive and always working on the upkeep of the property.
Mail packages are left outside with no worries of someone stealing them. Neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood safe. I liked the convenience of... being close to town but still felt like country living. I would highly recommend this property .

Overpriced for what you get !

These units are built poorly and overpriced for what you get .

The rent keeps going up regardless of a lack of updating or repairs.

Parking is a problem, trash if often a long walk to a dumpster,

The new management seems to be an improvement from the old ones but there are still some weird things and concerns in addition to just charging too much rent for what is offered.

I'm sorry that you weren't satisfied with our property, however, I'm glad to hear that you're happy with the work Alliance Management is doing so far as the new manager. We are continually investing back in the property to make sure it stays an... excellent community to live. Rent can be very expensive but I'm sure you understand that we are only charging market rates just like every other landlord. It's important that we charge market rates so that we can afford to maintain the property in a class A manner. Highland Spring Villas is a wonderful place to live in an amazing wooded setting and we are committed to keeping it that way!

A great location but not premier

The location is awesome and the units are nice. Please be aware that this is NOT a non-smoking complex. In reality it only is non-smoking in the units. We recently had smokers move in next to us and they smoke outside...right outside our windows and below our deck. The smoke permeates our unit when the windows are open. When shoveling the small deck recently, our clothes smelled like smoke when came in. We have been here 6 years and have to move when we can find a new location. When asked... the owner would not call me to discuss the issue. Very disappointing.

You're correct that we only disallow smoking within the units. We do ask residents to be respectful of their neighbors, so if your window is open, they shouldn't be smoking near it. On the flip side, if you see them outside on their patio smoking,... that wouldn't be a good time for you to open your windows. The owners aren’t interested in changing the rules regarding smoking and so there isn't any reason to have a discussion with them. It isn't feasible for the owners to be readily available for resident phone calls for the 2,000 residents we have at our properties. I hope you can understand that.
