The holiday season is the perfect time to go all out with festive décor, especially if you plan on inviting friends and family over. Each one of these hanging décor items can be hung from a mantel, wall, ceiling, and doorway, making your space look ready for the holiday season!

3: Homes.com    4: House of Smiths   5: Remodelaholic

6: Shabby Nest     7: Homes.com    8: Home Stories A to Z

It’s hard to choose just one of these décor items for the home when all are so simple and inexpensive to make. These projects can also be changed for a different occasion in a different season. The falling snowflakes can easily be falling flowers for spring or falling leaves for fall and the rustic holiday garland can say Happy Birthday and more. Which one of these DIY décor pieces can you see hanging in your home during the holidays?

ForRent.com’s sister company, Homes.com, has quite the variety of DIY holiday décor pieces that you can create for the holidays. These pieces were made for the Fabulously Festive Design Contest over at Olioboard.com, be sure to enter the contest HERE before December 12tt.
