UNJUSTLY WITHHELD SOME OF OUR REFUND.

REGARDING our move-out process from Retreat at Greystone. My son and I vacated the apartment on March 17, 2025, after fulfilling all contractual obligations, including the payment of the required deposit. We took every precaution to ensure that we met the expectations outlined in the lease agreement and left the apartment in a clean and orderly condition.

It is worth noting that, despite these circumstances, my son and I were denied our full deposit. I find this decision to be deeply troubling… , particularly given the context that the damage in question was caused by contractors employed by your company. As part of the repair process, the contractors created holes in the walls to assess water damage using moisture detection tools. Unfortunately, these holes were left unaddressed and not repaired before our departure.
We believe this charge to be unfair and unjust, and I kindly request a reconsideration of the decision to withhold our deposit.
Additionally, I would like to highlight a series of difficulties my son and I faced during our residency at Retreat at Greystone. These include:

Water Damage Incident: Last year, the sprinkler in the master bedroom bathroom malfunctioned, flooding our unit with water mixed with red dirt. This caused significant damage to my son's personal belongings, including clothing, shoes, office equipment, and furniture. My son and I had to clean up the aftermath ourselves. And we did not have renters insurance for our things.

Beautiful gated community

My stay at Greystone Retreat is unfortunately coming to an end. Leasing office staff members (Rebecca, Tara, and Jordan) were very helpful in ensuring that my move from New York to Alabama would be a seamless experience.

Tara in particular, while 6 months pregnant at the time, went above and beyond to accommodate virtual tours and processed my leasing application seamlessly.

The maintence staff Amos, Tim, and David have consistently provided friendly and efficient service in answering my… multiple requests and ensuring that the property complex remains hands-down the most beautiful in the area!

Great place to live

My husband, daughter, and I lived here for a year, and we loved it. It's a quiet and safe community. Nice pool, dog park, and workout facility. Parking is not an issue. The leasing agents were always helpful. It was a fantastic choice.

Best place to live in Birmingham

I am retired and wanted to down size. I am thrilled with my decision to live at the Retreat at Greystone. I feel like I have a completely new lifestyle in both a gorgeous setting, but outside a growing city. Highly recommend living at the Retreat.

Upscale living in a Southern town

The Retreat at Greystone is a fabulous new community to live if you work in downtown Birmingham or the surrounding suburban areas. If you work from home like me, it's quiet and the neighbors are awesome! It's one of the first communities in Birmingham with Wi-Fi, the grounds are beautifully maintained and staff is helpful and friendly. A pool and fitness room is available for fun. If you like shopping, this is the place to be. A huge designer Mall is right down the street, an outlet Mall… within minutes and another great Mall just a few miles away. Want easy access to highways headed to Atlanta, Florida or Tennessee? Live here! Want a nice dog park? Live here! Want to feel like you are close to enough to the latest happenings but far enough away to call a place of rest and refuge, it's all here, a real "Retreat".
