The overall impression of the complex is a good one. Green grass (rare in Santa Fe)! Clean grounds. Apartments are kept up. Overall a appealing and desirable complex to live in!!!!!

I would not recommend Local 1896. Although the apartments are nice, the monthly charges are hidden until the lease is signed and one is obligated to pay for bulk internet @ $70/m, only to receive 1/2 gigabyte of use. The dogs can be noisy and maintenance not always up to standard. packages often left outside the apt door, not secure.Cannot yet comment on new management, previous management not pro-active.
