Roach-Infested, Dishonest Management, and Zero Accountability

Do NOT move here. I moved into Longhills on August 22 (now 9/12) and have been dealing with a full-on roach infestation ever since. One morning I woke up to 12 roaches in my apartment — 5 in my bedroom and 2 crawling on my bedframe headboard. This is not the occasional bug you might expect in Arkansas — this is an infestation.

When I reported it, management was dismissive and defensive. They even marked my work order as “completed” when no one had ever come to treat my unit. When I asked if...
there was a history of infestations in this building, they flat-out refused to answer, calling that “proprietary business records.” Instead of showing transparency or urgency, they’ve denied the problem and tried to claim my apartment is “habitable” while I live with roaches.

I keep my apartment spotless — dishes done, trash taken out daily, no clutter — and yet I am still battling roaches. The real issue here isn’t just the bugs, it’s the dishonesty, lack of accountability, and refusal to provide even basic documentation of what they are or aren’t doing.

If you’re considering moving here, know what you’re signing up for: an unresponsive management team, zero transparency, and apartments that are not livable.

Roaches

Do not rent here if you ever want to have peace of mind. I had roaches all over my apartment despite having a clean and tidy space. The office staff did not provide and help. While living there was multiple incidents of vandalism to cars right in front of the complex. When trying to move in and out the manager was rude and disrespectful. After geting no help from her I went to corporate whose response to any problem was “I can not do anything else about this situation”. Some other issues that... bothered me was dog poop all over the complex. Please save yourself the hassle and do not rent here or any Lindsey property.

Not worth the money

I lived here for about 2 years. I didn't HATE it, but there are many reasons why I would not recommend them:
- The outside of the apartments is horrible. There is animal waste all over the ground. There is trash everywhere, and the dumpster areas are gross and littered with trash and broken glass
- The parking lot has a lot of blind spots, and people speed through very fast. There are no speed bumps in the parking lot, and no action is taken to make drivers slow down
- The area is not safe. The...
parking lot is poorly lit, there is little to no lighting between buildings, and they do not quickly repair light bulbs in the walkways of the buildings. There have been MANY times I have felt unsafe walking around the apartment complex at night. I know two people who live in the complex who have had their car broken into in the night. There are a few cameras scattered throughout the complex, but not nearly enough to capture every part of the parking lot
- In the last year, only 1 out of 4 quarterly inspections did maintenance actually show up. Each time that I was given notice of a quarterly inspection, either I or my boyfriend would be home, so I know for sure no one came for the other 3 inspections
- The front and back drives into the apartments have very deep and wide pot holes. The one in the front was finally filled after months of it getting worse, but the ones on the back drive are continually filled with gravel, which doesn't do anything long-term
- Every year, my rent has increased by at least $50/month, and there are no improvements done to the complex. The counter tops and appliances are cheap. The carpet is low quality and mats quickly, even if you vacuum regularly.
- The AC unit in our apartment had a leak, and mold began to grow on the wall in our hallway area. When maintenance came to "fix" it, they simply painted the wall over the mold stain. Of course, the mold kept growing, and was still visible through the paint when we moved out
- The complex boasts their amenities, but they are not worth the rising rent. The gym is only open during office hours, which makes it basically useless to anyone who works a 9-5. Many times I have gone to the gym to find some of the workout equipment broken. The pool is small and is crowded all summer long
