Ascent at Aldersgate

Stopped by today. Beautiful property, in a great central location that's close to shopping, hospitals, restaurants, etc. Maintenance guy was so personable!

My experience at Ascent at Aldersgate has been nothing short of a complete nightmare. From the moment we moved in on April 1, 2023, it has been a series of disappointments, deception, and a complete lack of professionalism.

First and foremost, the property manager (Shae Jefferson) promised us a move-in special rate of $1100 per month. We agreed and started staying here. She was nice and worked with so many residents in a very professional manner.
Shortly after we moved in, the property manager... (Shae Jefferson) was unceremoniously terminated, leaving us and around 21 other residents in a state of confusion. May 17 she was fired effective immediately and the same day we received balance notices on our door. It was us and around 21 other residents with few people owing around $14000 and another guy owed something little over $6000 despite the fact that all of us had been making payments appropriately in time. We moved in on April 1, 2023, and we owe $3702.00!!!! No explanation and no clarifications!!!!

When we reached out to the management to rectify the situation, mostly the office was closed with no one there or someone inside with door locked, they couldn't be bothered to respond or offer any explanation instead the lady in the office literally yelled at me and my wife. Instead of addressing our concerns and providing proper support, we were met with indifference and dismissal.

Instead of investigating the issue, and taking in loop their former property manager who still claims that she was the manager and she had the right to offer move in specials, the management would just simply ignore all the screenshots/proofs provided by us and other tenants and instead threat us with statements like rectify the balance or navigate the eviction process. No investigations, no talks!!!!

I strongly advise anyone considering renting at Ascent at Aldersgate to look elsewhere. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and financial burden that we have endured. This place is a breeding ground for deception, unprofessionalism, and a complete lack of integrity. Don't be fooled by their glossy marketing materials or false promises. You'll regret it, just like we did.
Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this nightmare of a place. There are plenty of other options out there that will treat you with the respect and fairness that you deserve.

I have been living on this gorgeous property about a month now and I can honestly it's very quiet and nice... I absolutely hate moving but I had great assistance from beginning to end with the property manager ms Shae! She has a very refreshing and gravitating personality and very professional and helpful!!
