Just renewed lease - I'm home.
I moved here as it was the largest space for the cheapest price that allowed pets. I renewed my lease as I love it.
I see maintenance picking up trash. When tenants dump large items outside the dumpsters, the items disappear within days. My maintenance requests are handled efficiently, sometimes VERY quickly. They allow "home cameras" such as Blink. There a door decorating contest at Christmas. There are community events. They spray for bugs. They have a record of pets in the office and when... someone enters for maintenance, they watch for them. The mailboxes are in a locked room.
The staff is kind whether via online, in-person or by phone. I love that there is on-site management. There's a gym and a laundry. The pool closed early for the summer this year but when open, looks very inviting.
As I was moving in, I introduced myself to neighbors passing by and received very friendly responses. I am older than them, but the "parking lot conversations" can be a lot of fun. In the event of an emergency, I know I could reach out. I love community and diversity.
I moved from what some might call a "better" area of Little Rock. I've had far fewer issues here! There are frequent police drive-throughs. Management is also responsive.
There are some cons which do not distract my love of living here: Making a left hand turn onto Cantrell can be a nightmare. I lived here in the 1980s when it was English Village and learned that sometimes it is much more efficient to turn right, then go down and turn around in a parking lot. The entrance hill is horrible in winter weather so keep that in mind. It was cleared during the last bout though I don't know if it was by tenants or management. Do inspect the exact apartment you are renting before moving in. The paint is peeling off my bathtub and because I didn't notice until I was moving in, it couldn't be repainted (I get it - the unit would have to be vacated while this was done). I will stress I can live with this!
I also must warn about the other complex down here with Legacy Pointe - no onsite management if they have management at all. It shows. I believe many of the "bad" reviews I've read online were actually from that complex, NOT Legacy Pointe!
