Cortland Mountain Vista is a quiet, safe, beautiful, and great community with easy access to US-60. We moved in almost two months ago and we love living here. It is a step up from the complex we were living in.

Do not live here!!!

I have lived at Cortland since October and have had multiple problems since before even moving in. I am a single female living alone. A week ago, I had an emergency maintenance issue and one of their staff members responded around 9:00 p.m. The maintenance technician was drunk upon arrival. His eyes were blood shot red and he was slurring his words. As a woman who lives alone, I was scared and didn’t know what to do. He did not seem like he wanted to leave, and I was genuinely terrified that... something bad was going to happen. He was aggressive towards me, kept asking me if I thought he was stupid, and kept telling me not to report him to the front office. I reported the entire incident to the front desk the next day in tears. They stated they take these things “seriously”. As of yesterday, I saw this maintenance person still working here. The front desk has yet to follow up with me on my complaint, have not checked on me, and genuinely do not care. Please, do not move here. Go somewhere else where they care about you and where you will be safe.

My experience living at Cortland Mountain Vista Apartments has been very positive. The quality of the residents reflects that this community values more than just filling apartments. From my very first tour with Kesha, I could sense the pride she takes in her work, which made a strong first impression. My interactions with the rest of the staff have also been excellent—Miranda is especially wonderful. She responds quickly, is attentive, and truly aims to please. The maintenance team has been... equally impressive: polite, professional, and efficient. Overall, I really enjoy living here and feel confident it was a great choice. And I have to mention the gym—it’s fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor workout areas. Keep up the great work, team!

The overall quality of the unit is mid to say the least, the maintenance team has been amazing and I understand their hard work, however I doubt the apartment was serviced prior to moving in with appliances issues and overall build quality. I will say that the maintenance team is very dedicated and hard working to solve these issues and this is more of a matter of leadership amongst Cortland management.
