I previously left a very positive review for this complex, but my move-out experience completely changed my opinion. After living here for three years and always paying rent early, I expected at least basic communication and fairness. Instead, when I went to turn in my keys, I was told I would be charged first and last month’s rent because I “didn’t give 60 days’ notice.”
Yes, it was in the lease, but I notified them 23 days in advance and no one ever responded to my email. They contacted me... multiple times about renewing my lease, yet never once mentioned the 60-day requirement. If they had simply replied or communicated clearly, this could have been avoided.
Now they’re sending the charges to collections, despite my long rental history and the fact that I was never late. It’s extremely disappointing to see how little they value long-term residents or families who have been responsible tenants. My experience went from positive to frustrating and financially damaging because of poor communication and zero willingness to work with residents.
