The bathroom has a bathtub with shower over, hotel-quality towels, and locally made hand soap and body wash/shampoo for your personal use. The lounge area has a small comfortable sofa, ceiling fan, electric heater, and small TV. The new queen bed is dressed in high-quality bed linens, adding a touch of luxury and comfort to your stay. Additionally, there is a small closet for your use. This suite includes a microwave and fridge, but does not provide dishware, cutlery, or glasses, so please bring your own if you intend to prepare or heat up meals.
A padlock for the ski locker can be rented if needed.
Located in the Riverside neighborhood in Fernie, British Columbia, this suite is central to life in Fernie. The Riverside neighborhood is situated along the banks of the Elk River, offering easy access to the river and its scenic surroundings. Nearby you have Island Lake lodge, Fernie's Provincial park, ski hill, and downtown. The area is surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, making it an excellent base for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. In the winter months, residents and visitors can also take advantage of the nearby ski resorts, such as Fernie Alpine Resort, which is known for its excellent powder snow and extensive ski terrain. The neighborhood is within close proximity to downtown Fernie, where you can find a variety of amenities, including shops, restaurants, cafes, and services.
Quiet time is from 10 pm to 8 am. Smoking is not permitted on limited common property, including decks, balconies, or courtyards, or within 3 meters of common property windows, doors, or air intakes. Sports equipment is not allowed inside the unit. Strictly no cooking is allowed within lock-offs, except for within the microwave provided; this is a heavily enforced strata rule. They forbid the use of hot plates, portable cooking stoves, or any cooking-related appliance with the exception of microwaves provided. Additionally, any sink blockages related to food waste are chargeable to the guest. If you are staying here for work, do not track mud, coal, or any work-related mess into the building or unit. Furthermore, please do not bring work materials or supplies in either. A minimum of $50/hr will be charged if carpets are found to be coal/ dirt stained and require steam cleaning. This includes communal areas. No laundering of ‘coal’ work clothes is allowed in the unit’s washing or drying machines. There will be a minimum surcharge of $150 per bedroom if the laundry is stained beyond recovery and/or the unit is found excessively dirty. To help prevent staining, dark laundry sets are available. Please notify us when booking if you require dark laundry for your stay. Also, any late requests for dark laundry may incur a change-over fee. A fine of up to $1000 will be issued, and you could be asked to vacate if any of the house rules are not obeyed. You will need a vehicle to get to the property. Some noise may be heard from other guests. There is construction near to the Pinnacle Ridge townhouses and Riverside condos, and although we do not expect this to impact your stay, there could be some construction noise and traffic.
