Kitchen Feng Shui

Kitchen Feng Shui

Many of us have heard of feng shui, or the practice of setting up spaces to release positive energy. A main area of the practice of feng shui has been the bedroom – but what about the kitchen? We eat in the kitchen, prepare meals, and converse with friends. The kitchen is known to be the center of the home. Take these feng shui tips into consideration when choosing your dream rental kitchen.
  • In feng shui, the kitchen represents health and wealth for families.
  • The stove is a symbol of the element of fire, which is the strongest element. Placing the stove near a window, fireplace or stairwell is looked down upon, because you are losing the energy given to you by the stove’s flames.
  • The stove should be part of an island in the center of the room, so the person doing the cooking has a good view of the entire kitchen.
  • Stove should not be placed near the sink, washer or any other water source, as they are opposing energies and will clash.
  • To improve the energy of your feng shui kitchen, keep it spotless and remove unnecessary items.
Keeping your kitchen uncluttered and peaceful will help you release the positive energy you have been looking for. Try feng shui in your kitchen and in the other rooms of your apartment to achieve your maximum potential and feel the good vibrations.   Photos by: runytry
