Jess & Monica from the East Coast Creative blog are back and here to show you an awesome DIY mudroom solution for a small space!  Keep your apartment clean with this old bookshelf turned custom mudroom.  With enough space for coats, shoes, scarves and jackets, this mudroom solution is sure to be one of the most functional DIY pieces in your apartment!

Small Space Mudroom Solution

This how-to project is easy and will really make a noticeable difference in the amount of dirt and clutter in your space.  To create your own small space mudroom you will need:
  • Bookshelf (save money and buy used)
  • Organization bins
  • Drill
  • Metal Hooks (to hang coats, scarves, etc.)
  • Wallpaper or wrapping paper
  • Light or Lamp
  • Mirror
As a renter, more than likely, you won’t have the ability to add a lot of built-ins or do major construction of any kind, so it is important to think outside the box and come up with solutions for décor items that you would like to have.  This bookshelf mudroom is a perfect example of how living in an apartment doesn’t mean you have to live without!
