6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom

When I rented my apartment, I was so excited to have a fresh new space. Moving from an older home, it was great to get a larger bathroom with modern upgrades. The only problem was the lack of homey touches that lend personality and interest. Thankfully, I had a few ideas to immediately remedy the situation. In this post, I’m going to share my six tips for a cozy spa-like apartment bathroom. These are things you can do easily and quickly to create a bathroom that feels like a little oasis right in your apartment.

Invest in Luxurious Towels

First things first, pick up some large, fluffy bath towels. I like to shop for these at discount home stores where you can get name brands for excellent prices. Find something that’s generously sized and extra plush for a truly luxurious feeling. To arrange the towels stylishly in your bathroom, I recommend first hanging two bath towels on your towel bar, followed by two hand towels, and then two wash clothes. This gives a lush, layered look. 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom

Add Candles and Flowers

Candles and flowers add ambiance to the bathroom when you’re looking to unwind and relax. The flicker of the candles combined with the floral scent sets the mood for luxuriating in the bath after a long day. There’s also just enough light to sip your favorite beverage or possibly read that book you’ve been wanting to start. 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom

Incorporate Relaxing Aroma

I also recommend adding a diffuser to your bathroom for scent when you’re not burning candles. A diffuser keeps your bathroom smelling fresh without any of the work or worry of lit candles. Pick a scent that reminds you of a spa and lulls you into a relaxed state. Lavender, sandalwood, and jasmine are wonderful options. 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom

Try Simple Upgrades

Your lease may prohibit making major changes in your bathroom, however, a few updates can make your space feel custom. Try a fancy soap dispenser, switch up the light fixture, or swap out the mirror for something more decorative. If space allows, you might even add a bench or lidded basket for extra storage. 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom [tweetthis]Here Are 6 Great #Tips You Should Try To Make Your Bathroom Feel Cozy And Spa-Like! Decorate with Bath Products

Bath products can not only encourage relaxation but also enhance your space. Here I’ve used a bowl of bath bombs and a big jar of bath salts. They look pretty, and seeing them on display is a nice reminder to use them. 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom

Hang Some Artwork

Finally, treat the bathroom like any other space in your apartment. Hang a couple pieces of artwork to complement the relaxing atmosphere and bring in a bit of personality. Display pictures of favorite waterscapes or have fun with something bold and more personal. A friend of mine hung flamingo paper in her bathroom. It’s a punch of color, and it’s fun! 6 Tips for a Cozy Spa-Like Apartment Bathroom I hope you enjoyed these tips for creating a spa-like bathroom in your own apartment.
