Summer Go Bag: What to Pack for a Quick Adventure

Summer Go Bag: What to Pack for a Quick Adventure

With all the music festivals, parties and outings during the summer, it seems like we are always on the go. It is easy to rush out the front door and forget something important. That is why I like to keep a summer to-go bag stocked and ready for any occasion. Throw together your own summer tote so you are always prepared for a good time. Summer Bag Essentials Sunscreen: This item is at the top of the list for obvious reasons. If you are going to be spending any time at all in the sun, you want to put on sunscreen. I like to keep a bottle of sunscreen in my summer bag for quick re-applications. You can choose either regular or natural options. Bug spray: Have you ever had a mosquito bite on your ankle? It is the worst part of summer. We have all read the news reports of the scary diseases borne by mosquitoes, so protect yourself with bug spray. Just like with the sunscreen, there are both natural and regular varieties available. Large water bottles: Keep yourself hydrated in the heat by carrying your own refillable water bottle. I like the versions that have the water filter built right in. Water sprayer: If you can find a small water sprayer at the dollar store, toss it in your go bag too. They are a great way to quickly cool down when you are sitting in the heat. Summer Go Bag- What Should Be in Your Summer Bag - ForRent.com Camera: I am sure your phone takes amazing pictures, but summertime calls for something special. An instant camera allows you to take selfies with friends and then have a physical copy of the photo to take home. Umbrella: It is smart to keep an umbrella in your summer bag for either rain or shine. Obviously, the umbrella can keep the rain off your head in the case of an unexpected shower, but you can use the umbrella for portable shade on a sunny day as well. Pack a portable charging stick in your bag to give your devices some emergency power. Something to read: Whether you are stuck in a long commute, standing in a long line at the grocery store or just relaxing on the beach, make sure your summer bag is packed with something great to read. Check out your local library for an entertaining novel or download the digital version of your favorite magazine.
