How to Get the Coziest Bedroom Style for Fall

How to Get the Coziest Bedroom Style for Fall

The weather outside has begun to change. The air is a bit crisper and the days are a bit shorter. The temperature has dropped as well, and you find yourself pulling out the long sleeves, pants, sweaters, jackets and boots. The bright clothes of summer have been replaced with the warmer and deeper colors of fall. These changes that you apply to yourself can also be applied to your bedroom style to make your space the coziest of bedrooms for the fall months. cozy bedroom rug 1. Addition of Layers Begin by adding layers. Layers can come in any form and can easily be added and replaced with each season. Start at the bottom of your room and work your way up. Adding an area rug that provides some warmth underfoot for those chilly mornings is a perfect example. An extra throw blanket at the foot of the bed is another way to create a cozy fall bedroom. Some seasonal throw pillows for the bed or chair help add in some layers as well. One more great option is to add or change your window treatments. It will create a softer and more lived-in feel overall. cozy bedroom curtains 2. Change of Color Every season has its colors. Nothing says fall more than red, orange, brown, green, deep purple and other seasonal hues. Apply these colors to your addition of layers. Add a deep orange throw pillow to your bed or chair. Switch out your lighter-shade area rug for something a bit warmer with deeper tones. Select a new throw blanket with a fun pattern of warm fall colors. Change some of your artwork for seasonal displays or even arrange items from nature. Fill a bowl with acorns from the yard or a vase with dried flowers from the garden. cozy bedroom pillows 3. Change of Fabric and Textures While adding layers and colors, make sure to focus on various fabrics as well as textures. Replace your floral throw pillow for a plaid one. Add a gray houndstooth area rug to accent the warm velvet throw pillows. Give your natural fiber rug a rest until spring by replacing it with a warm and soft wool-tufted rug. Adding other textures in the form of accessories can make an enormous difference as well. Introduce an additional reading lamp, some newly framed artwork or even a bowl to collect keys, loose change or jewelry. Mix and match your patterns and colors to create a cozy bedroom oasis that is ready for fall.
