Why You Should Invest in Multifunctional Coffee Tables

Over here, we are all about multifunctional furniture. We move too often and just don’t have the space to let random pieces sit around. When I am normally searching for a piece of furniture, I look for not only how big the piece is but also for items that can serve more than one purpose. From storage to additional seating to extra dining, I need a piece to be transitional. Coffee tables are no exception to the rule. When you are on the hunt for the perfect one, you want to look at not only the size for the space you need to fill but what else you need that piece to be. Let’s run through two ideas for coffee tables, along with multiple ways to use them. The first option is great for a family. The pieces can be used in any space; for a family room, an office space or a game room, this is one of my favorite options. Multifunctional Coffee Tables This look can be obtained multiple ways. I grabbed these small stools at Target in the dorm section. Now is one of my favorite times of the year at Target. You can find really great, affordable and functional pieces right before school starts. By using small stools, you can make a table however big or small you need it to be. When I bought these stools, I knew I wanted to place them in our multipurpose room. We use this space for an office, living and game room. This room gets a lot of traffic, so I needed something that was durable and wouldn’t get scratched, as well as something to serve as extra seating for all of the neighborhood kids who come through. Multifunctional Coffee Tables I can easily spot clean the surfaces, and they are the perfect height to either rest your feet on or enable the littles to use as a desk and color on. There are also normally a few game controllers sitting on them so everyone can easily find one. When the rest of the family is out for the day and I am catching up on work, I can pull the stools up with my laptop and use them as extra desk space. Multifunctional Coffee Tables The other option for a multipurpose coffee table is this lucite table. Multifunctional Coffee Tables There are a ton of options for this type of table, according to a quick Google search. I bought this particular one online from CB2. I absolutely love this table. It gives the impression of a great modern coffee table with clean lines. Since it’s lucite, it doesn’t have the weight and mass of a normal coffee table and doesn’t appear to take up the amount of space a solid table does. Multifunctional Coffee Tables In addition, I grabbed a couple floor poufs and usually toss them under or around the table. They add weight to the table when they are placed underneath it, helping it not get lost in the living space. The poufs also provide additional seating for the kids to pull up to the table when they are working on homework. We can also use this small space when we have guests over and need the additional dining space.
