Festive, Easy Winter Holiday Tablescape

Festive, Easy Winter Holiday Tablescape

The holidays are in full swing; we’ve made it through Thanksgiving and are quickly sharpening our focus onto Christmas. Family members have come and gone and are now on their way back, and everyone is exhausted and ready to start dieting and planning all the things they want to do for the new year. But don’t cross that yearly finish line just yet. There are still a few parties to throw and dinners to have. Since we are all running on steam, today I’m going to show you how to pull together a quick and easy winter holiday tablescape. Simple Winter Tablescape This tablescape is not only perfect for Christmas but also if you have those “late” Christmas parties that fall after Dec. 25. Let’s be honest: After Christmas Day, everyone is sick of candy canes and all things red, so the focus of this simple winter tablescape is to bring in a cozy wintery concept that will work no matter what day in December you are hosting a dinner! Simple Winter Tablescape Place Settings I started with a simple burlap runner and a vintage toolbox centerpiece. The toolbox is filled with LED candles and clippings from evergreens. If you don’t have access to any evergreens, I hear you can snag some for free at Christmas tree farms. They usually have quite a few from trimming the trees. My favorite thing about this centerpiece is that it is easily removeable. Just grab the handle and move it to the side or completely out of the dining area. If you don’t have an old toolbox, you can easily substitute one with some wooden or metal trays from your local home décor stores. Simple Winter Tablescape Galvanized Chargers The table setting consists of galvanized charger plates, but any charger will do, along with simple, everyday white plates and real napkins. To add a little flair to the place settings, I just added a few frosted sticks from a craft store and three cranberries for a little warmth. You can also just grab some sticks from outside if you don’t want to spend the extra money on the ones at the craft store. Simple Winter Tablescape Sticks And now your table is set. Even if this isn’t your style, you can very easily adapt this setup to any décor. Here’s all that’s needed: -Table runner -Simple centerpiece -Charger plates -Dinner plates -Napkins -Something simple on top of napkins Do you have any quick tricks for decorating a table for the holidays? If you prefer to have a more formal setting, be sure to check out this post on how to set the perfect table.
