What do mothers REALLY want for Mother’s Day? To spend time with you! That’s why throwing a brunch for you and mom is the perfect way to celebrate HER day. What better way to spend time with mom than to catch up and share stories over some delicious scones, coffee, or mimosas? But the planning process might sound difficult, right? Or maybe you’re out of time due to your busy schedule. Either way, you can actually easily set up a brunch, party of two, with the things you probably already have. Here are some tips for setting up a quick last minute mother’s day brunch!
Food Bar

Cooking an extravagant brunch may not be ideal, therefore bringing food home from elsewhere, but displaying it nicely can help save time and keep things looking classy! Consider making small appetizers to snack on versus having a cooked meal. These cucumber bites are perfect for curing that savory tooth in the morning, or try these easy
pimento bites! Fresh berries and fruit are also an easy and healthy food to snack on. You can also create a quick parfait with fruits, granola and yogurt. For dessert, pick up your mother’s favorite sweets, whether they are scones, muffins, cupcakes or cake to have with coffee or tea.
Mimosa Bar

Mimosas are a brunch tradition; so consider setting up a mimosa bar with two to three different juice choices, a bottle of champagne, glasses with straws and fresh berries. Frozen berries help keep the drink chilled while infusing it with extra flavor!
Table Display

Chargers help set the table’s mood and keep the table looking more presentable. Don’t have a charger? Use a large plate as a charger and use small plates as your brunch plates instead. A nicely folded napkin on top, again, helps your table look presentable, and a great excuse for cute tags. These tags can be purchased or DIY’ed from paper bags, or use plain white paper. And finally, it’s spring! Be sure to add fresh spring flowers like tulips to just about anywhere!
