Netflix vs. iTunes vs. Google – What's The Best Streaming Service?

In recent years, many millennials have found ourselves asking is a cable subscription still worth it? With so many streaming options out there, as long as you have internet you can get tons of shows at your fingertips. Depending on what you watch on TV and how fast your internet is, using a streaming service is a great way to get tons of shows and movies for less. And with products like Google Chromecast and Roku, you can pretty much turn any tv into a smart TV with streaming capabilities. With the help of this PC Mag article, we’re breaking down some of the best streaming devices out there right now. What's The Best Streaming Service

Amazon Fire TV

Amazon Fire TV: $89.99 | Amazon Fire TV Stick: $39.99 Since it’s an Amazon product, Amazon Fire devices focus on Amazon Prime content with Amazon Instant Video and Prime Music built right into the menu system. But you can still get you favorite streaming apps like Hulu Plus, Netflix and YouTube. The biggest advantages are having all your Prime content right there, which right now is about $10.99 a month. You can even pair your Fire TV devices with Alexa! What's The Best Streaming Service

Google Cast

Google Chromecast: $35 | Google Chromecast Ultra: $69.99 Google Cast is probably the most visually appealing and runs through your mobile device. Plug in your Chromecast device to the TV and your power source and start streaming directly from your phone with no remotes or on-screen interfaces to fiddle with. The Chromecast Ultra is one of the least expensive 4K media streamers and all Cast products are extremely affordable. Now, you can even buy your TV with built-in chromecast making it a little bit cheaper than the traditional smart TV (depending on which brand you purchase) and even easier to use.

Roku

Roku Streaming Stick: $49.52 | Roku Premiere+: $95.43 You’ll find all of the big streaming media names for Roku like Amazon Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Netflix and several other smaller apps. Roku has the most models with six different options across the board. The Stick and Premiere+ are the most affordable for what they offer and are really a great option for streaming. Similar to Chromecast you can find TVs with Roku built in. They are more budget friendly and some offer 4K capability as well. What's The Best Streaming Service

Android TV

Nvidia Shield TV Streaming Media Player: $199.99 As Google’s Android-based media streamer menu system, Android TV for the first to offer Netflix 4K outside of a TV with the 4K app built-in. It is an extremely powerful system (partially due to powerful hardware from with Nvidia Shield TV) and is google Cast compatible meaning you can use your mobile device or tablet to stream just as if you had Chromecast. Unfortunately its app store falls short next to the other options and still isn’t up to promised standards. [tweetthis]Tired Of Paying High Prices For #Cable?
