Amberwood Apartments

This is a nasty complex. Located between a concrete riverbed and restaurants. Cats are allowed to roam to take help manage rodents. Showers on the first floor back up when there is a problem with plumbing on the second floor. Walls are super thin. And cars get broken into. On top of that, management will come up with a story to not return your deposit. These are just a few reasons why you should NOT rent here. Look elsewhere.

Been staying here for about 6 years now, and i'm still loving the place, i'm near restaurants, groceries, my church and a great school for my kid.

I've gone through quite a few Property Managers, the guy handling the property as of this time ( Year 2020 ) is the best one so far. Always maintained, attentive to concerns, and definite improvements in SAFETY and upkeep of property.

Dont stay here. Have had many problems inside our apartment. Outside looks great. They took our parking spot to give to someone else even though our lease is parking spot and garage. Nothing gets fixed around and when it does they blame you. Worst apartment for the price you pay. Definitely expect better.

We’ve been at Amberwood for almost 5 years! Since Joe and Shelly have been here, it was become more our home than just an apartment! Joe are and Shelly are good neighbors, supportive, and have addressed our needs in a timely manner! Our stove blew one night unexpectedly. We called Joe and the next day they put in a new stove! They replaced our thermostat, changed our windows, and have addressed every issue promptly. I definitely recommend Amberwood Apartments! Parking might be a challenge but... it always works out! I moved my 4-person family into Amberwood in Sept and Oct 2018 while we were house-shopping. We since found a home and moved out. Shelly was very available and accommodating while were selecting which apartment complex to choose, while living there, and when we moved out. All-around great person to work with. When we moved in, Joe fixed the two issues in the apartment on the same day requested them. He was always ready to help. For example, when we moved out of our apartment, my movers... were going to charge $75 extra to lower our large sofa down the 2nd story balcony. Joe offered to help me, and we did it ourselves, using his ingeneuity. When I offered him payment, he waived it off. When we lived there, we always felt safe and well taken care of with Joe and Shelly in charge.

One reason I am taking the time on this review is that I was surprised to see a few negative reviews about the place. I think they must be before Shelly and Joe were managing. When we moved Joe was systematically doing upgrades on the place. For example, in just the time were living there he had new thermostats installed in all units, re-painted the curbs, and was in the process of redoing the interior of all the garages. Joe and Shelly are people of character and you can tell by interacting with them as well as the small touches.

Our unit was very comfortable; the neighbors were quiet; and the grounds are beautiful. If I were going to live in an apartment complex long-term, I would definitely go back to Amberwood! Read More
