I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this apartment complex. While the property itself appears well-maintained, the management and their approach to billing is where things fall apart. After fully cleaning the apartment (without the requested move-out cleaning guidelines), but before turning the keys in, I requested a final walk through. I was told that “everything looked good, as if someone could just move right in.” However, after moving out, I received charges for items and... services that were never outlined or deemed as a mandatory charge per the lease agreement — including an apartment cleaning fee, carpet cleaning fee, repainting the entire apartment, and things that would typically be classified as normal wear and tear. When I raised concerns with the leasing office on how these “mandatory fees” weren’t included in the lease agreement, I was met with vague justifications and no real resolution. It feels like they rely on the fact that most residents won’t take the time or energy to challenge these questionable charges.
It’s become clear that the management prioritizes profit over transparency or tenant satisfaction. The stream of surprise charges feels exploitative, especially when they’re not backed by anything in writing (i.e. lease agreement). It’s unfortunate, because this could be a great place to live if it weren’t for the money-hungry practices, lack of concern, or even the constant smell of marijuana at what is supposed to be a smoke-free community. It's incredibly frustrating to sign a lease, thinking you understand your obligations, only to be blindsided by charges and issues that were never part of the deal. I strongly recommend that future renters ask for everything in writing, read the fine print carefully, and think twice before signing a lease here. If transparency is important to you, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
