Well-kept Building, Easy-Going Landlords
This is a well-kept building with easy-going, responsive landlords. When you have a problem, they send one of their friendly handymen down to deal with it fairly quickly. They are easy going about requests to install AC units, hang pictures, and very understanding in general) The laundry remains open 24-7, so while there aren't a ton of machines, there's really no difficulty getting access. They've done a nice job on the floors, appliances, and finishes, and have renovated the 50 year old... building to be quite up to date. The rent is quite reasonable for the neighborhood and includes utilities, which is pretty rare. The apartments themselves aren't huge, but certainly large enough for one person or a couple. It's in a great location, right at the border between the quiet, pleasant suburban Culver City streets and the cosmopolitan downtown stretch with all the nice restaurants. The units have an option for parking, and street parking isn't difficult. Neighbors are diverse and friendly, and lower units have shady porches with room for a small table. Rent increases have been modest since I've been here, and given that Culver City lacks rent control and downtown Culver is very trendy, that's no small thing.
