Village Square Apartments

I know 90% of reviews around rental units are negative, which is why I waited to write this review. This is my second Greystar property that I’ve lived at and management maintenance and neighbors have been nothing short of professional, timely, and cordial except for a few minor instances which are inevitable.

The price of rent everywhere is too high, but this property offered the most competitive pricing on the market with a location only 10 minutes from the beach without traffic and steps... away from Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and a bunch of other shops right next-door.

It’s appropriate to give a shout out to the management here, mainly India, who has always been able to answer my questions and concerns quickly, but also handle any problems as you would hope a property manager would which helps it feel more like a home/community then just a another rental unit. Compact and easy-to-access living. Not expecting too much can satisfy yourself.

Location, location, location. Hard to beat. Quiet, friendly community with supportive management.

Never in my life have I ever dealt with the most rude leasing staff. They rotate the staff so often and every single one of them seem to never want to do their job. India, the manager, is the worst. They don't care about tenant concerns. They're nice until you sign your lease, then they ghost you and are rarely available.

Had an awful time here. Do yourself a favor and avoid this property. They're behind on their pest control, try to charge residents random fees not communication upon move in, are unprofessional and never have clear answers for anything, avoid responsibility, and the buildings are in awful condition with recurring mold and pests (ants, termites). Notorious with not returning deposits without fair explanation either.
