How Is This Rating Determined?

1/18/19

Do not move here. Not worth it.

This is by far the worst building in Ktown to live in. Where do I start . . .

There is NO PARKING - This building is directly in front of a school so on weekdays you will likely have to move your car before 6am.

BUGS - This building has roaches. When you first move in, you feel like it the perfect place until you walk into the hallway and see a roach staring you right in the face. They will eventually show up in your apartment. EVEN IF YOU CLEAN PROFUSELY EVERYDAY. Their answer to this is...
that “the building was just fumigated”. Also, the lobby doors are not sealed at the bottom so the large cockroaches from outside always get into the building.

Maintenance is a JOKE - there is no set protocol in place when things in your apartment breaks or leaks. The landlord has to text, YES I SAID TEXT, the management company to have contractors come out. And even then, they do not give you a specific time of the service, the guys just show up at your door. No notice, no warning. And if they have to go in and out to get supplies they WILL live your door wide open.

THERE ARE NO VENTS- self explanatory

The landlord is nice but there is a language barrier so it is sometimes difficult to get information and the company does not help her at all. It’s basically like they throw her out to the wolves when things go wrong in the building and then dodge the calls of the angry tenants.

MAIL- if you are getting a package delivered, get a PO box. There is no system in place for package deliveries. Unless you can be at the building to open the lobby door when the delivery person arrives, you will not see your package.

HANDING IN RENT - you cannot submit a payment online or even drop it in rent box because there is not office. You have to knock on the landlord’s apartment door to hand off the payment to her. I will say this, she is very good with giving receipts.

I could honestly go on but I’m tired of writing.

If you are looking for an apartment in this area or LA in general, BEWARE of the company “Huntington Apartments”. This is the company that manages this property. This company is not accredited and to be completely honest they are a JOKE. They will not respond to emails and will never answer the phone if there is an issue that needs to be escalated. Please be very careful when choosing a place to live.
