400 N Serrano Ave

I have never seen cockroaches like the previous reviewer, so that's nice. Some points:


Cons:

---The walls/floors are pretty thin. I can hear my downstairs neighbors walking and closing doors/drawers.

---There is no longer recycling because apparently the people in this building think that dirty diapers, packages of raw meat, furniture, clothes, etc can go in the recycling. The property manager also told us she doesn't care about recycling.

---No pets are allowed at all. The property manager... was positively gleeful to tell us "no" when I asked.


Pros:

---The area is pretty quiet despite being near Beverly/Western.

---There's a fantastic sushi place a couple blocks away.

---The courtyard is nice with lots of plants (there used to be more, but the person who took care of them moved away)
-Secure parking--There are quite a few apartments that get tandem parking, and at least one that gets two single space (two spaces, not tandem).

---The apartments (mine, at least) are not gigantic, but they offer plenty of room for comfortable living. It's not super cramped, and each bedroom has a HUGE walk-in closet (one is the size of a small room. Seriously, you could fit a twin bed in there) in addition to a large coat closet. Read More

The apartment is very large and has little to no problems but there are roaches. The courtyard always smells of food which is fantastic for me!
