A charming spot in the heart of Echo Park
I moved into this building in March, and have absolutely loved living here. The manager lives onsite and is very helpful. It's a small studio, but plenty of space for my dog and I. My windows face east and there's great sunlight in the morning. Living here makes LA feel like a walkable city. Without walking more than 15 minutes, I can grab groceries at numerous locations, visit my pharmacy, get dinner and drinks at places like Mohawk Bend, El Prado, Sage, Elf Cafe, Masa and Sunset Beer Company.... Living just a block from Echo Park Lake is a huge benefit for having a convenient place to walk my dog and have summer picnics. The building is still mostly families and LA natives, and the halls always smell like delicious food.
Pros:
- Real hardwood floors
- Utilities included
- Fridge and Oven included
- Quiet neighbors
- Coin-operated laundry on site
- Location
Cons:
- No A/C
- Street Parking
- Little countertop space (however, the kitchen is quite large, so you can easily fit in a kitchen cart and dining room set to make more space.)
- Off Sunset Blvd., so the street can be quite noisy. (This doesn't bother me at all. I actually prefer having a "city" feel.)
Units in this building get snatched up very quickly because it feels like such a steal. If you see a unit available, make moves quickly!
